What should our response be if Russia invades Ukraine?

Ukraine has no navy. Do supporting countries attack the blockade? Is this where the escalation starts to ramp up?
Those are international waters. We have every right to go there if we desire to as do other nations.

Yep - Russia escalated this with the canceling of the grain deal and then bombing the grain storage facilities in Odessa.

People need to stop blaming the west for escalating this war. This is all 100% on Russia and Putin.

Possibly relevant as we seem to be heading towards a new Cold War with Russia.

While the idea of building a submarine overhaul yard at Lorain has been shelved, the plan lays out an option for a fifth public yard at the Naval Weapons Station Goose Creek, S.C. That construction would be contingent on the “funding and oversight regimes are proven” for the component repair facilities, the company said.

Man, I really wish they would re-open the Charleston Naval Base as well. Lots of great middle-class civilian jobs if that were to happen.

Today is the 78th anniversary of the dropping of the second A-bomb against at Nagasaki.

Possibly relevant today as well.
