2014 OL Bentley Spain (6-6 285) of Charlotte has offers from USC, Clemson, LSU, Stanford, North Carolina, NC State, Florida, Vanderbilt, Miami, Michigan, Virginia and Virginia Tech among others. Bentley spoke highly of USC and Clemson and has visited each school several times. "South Carolina was the first to offer me so I've had a chance to build a great relationship with the coaches and some of the players," Spain said. "Coach (Shawn) Elliott and I have a good relationship and since he is my recruiter and positions coach, that's a plus. I've been there six or seven times and I like it a lot." As for Clemson he said, "I like them too. I've built some great relationships with coaches. They have a great game day atmosphere and a great tradition." Spain's other visits were to LSU and Stanford. "I like both of the campuses," said Spain. "Stanford of course has the academics and LSU is a national power. I want to learn more about both schools." This season he plans to attend games at USC and Clemson. He would like to commit within the next 12 months but says, "I'm not going to rush it". He does not have any favorites.
