Dawn's recruiting prowess

Dawn brought a fantastic brand for WBB with her when she took the job at South Carolina, that no one else has in WBB. Maybe more accomplished head coaches out there at the time, but as a player and flag-bearer for the sport, there was no more prominent. She COULD HAVE just rested on those laurels and been a lazy recruiter, and still had regularly winning teams that were top-25 teams and that played often in the NCAAT, but she has shown a fierce competitiveness to add to that brand, that she has taken years of building up to where it is today.

And she is a very capable coach of winning basketball too - in not just strategies, but in attitude and spirit of competition that has shown for her earlier teams when she had only a few 4-star talents, and 0 5-star ones. And her staff is as solid and consistent as any other in WCBB too. As her teams rose up to top-25 rankings and becoming more of a force in SEC league play, so too has the talent risen every recruiting cycle, to help her program climb to new heights. As long as Dawn continues to have that competitive fire to go out and recruit the very best talent, her program will continue to be at the very top of its national stage.....
 
And Dawn signs 5* Joyce Edwards of Camden, # 2 prospect per Girlzhoops. Also academically the # 8 student in her graduating class.

We may very well end up with the # 1 recruiting class for 2024!
 
I stumbled across an interesting fact while reading about the game last night. CDS has signed EVERY top 35 player in the State since 2014.

Damn...just damn.
