Baseball vs. #3 Vandy

Sure hate MBB lost, but they will be a great team again next season.
Now it is time to look at our Baseball and Softball teams.
Baseball won the series against #3 Vanderbilt today.
They had to play a double header and won both games in big fashion. In the first game we had a 2 run lead last from the 2nd to the 7th. They tie it up in the top of the 7th but we came back with 5 runs to take a 7-2 lead. They scored 1 in the 8th so we did to. They only got 1 more in the 9th so we win 8-4.
In the 2nd game they took a 3-1 lead in the 4th. In the bottom of the 5th we scored 4 runs with 2 outs. In the 6th we scored 2 more with two outs and another in the 7th while shutting them out from the 3rd inning on for a 8-3 win.
Vandy is #3 in the country. All except 1 of their batters avg. over 300 avg. And we beat them big time.

Another great win today, 10-2, to get the sweep.
We scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 1st, 1 in the 2nd & 3rd, and 1 in the 7th and 8th.
They got 2 in the top of the 7th but we got them out with bases loaded.
Pitzer got 9 K's but he gave up those 2 runs. Becker came in to get us out of the 7th. He finished the game with another 3 K's.
So good to see our Baseball team look so good against one of the best teams in the country and none of them were close.
We get Presbytarian Tuesday and then play at Bama Th-Sat.
