USC drafted baseball recruits 1B Ryan Ripken and 2B Max Schrock, and drafted football recruit OF Kwinton Smith, all allowed the 5:00 PM signing deadline to pass without inking deals, so they are good to go with the Gamecocks.
The Gamecocks did lose SS Corey Seager, OF Jamie Jarman, RHP Jamie Callahan, LHP Zac Wasilewiski, and RHP Dixon Llorens from their 2012 class to the pros.
Three Clemson drafted baseball recruits…INF Tyler Krieger, RHP Clate Schmidt and SS Kevin Bradley…also let the deadline pass without signing and will be in school this fall.
The Tigers lost just one recruit to the pros, RHP Lucas Sims who signed with the Braves.
