New stuff from Mick Mars, one of the founding members of Motley Crue behind Vince Neil and Nicky Sixx, from his upcoming album The Other Side of Mars.

The Crue would have packed arenas with these two songs twenty years ago. I like to think a new band today would do the same, but I don't think they would have the same vibes necessary to craft such a song.

Mars is 72 BTW. I think the social movement that was rock and roll has long since died, but I don't know. A much younger singer on the vocals, too, but still great songs.

Has airplay on the Top 40 been replaced by the number of downloads on whatever website?

Instead of going to see the occasional rock concert at the Carolina Coliseum back in the day, now I just hop in my granny car to go watch basketball games at the CLA these days. I don't know.
