We have an edge in possession efficiency margin by .040. The Rebs have more possessions than us, but our D will bring them back to Earth.

We need to rebound and guard against turnovers.

Planet Nerf Prediction: USC wins 72-62

It is great to finally see us listed as favorites. Time to show the world that the last 5 games were not a fluke. We need to be really strong here at home and get a big win like we had against UK.

In his second season as the head coach of South Carolina's men's basketball team, Lamont Paris is on the brink of making history. With 19 wins under his belt this Winter, he's tied George Felton's record set back in 1987 for the most victories by a second-year coach. As the Gamecocks prepare for their game against Ole Miss on Tuesday, Paris has an opportunity to set a new benchmark with an unprecedented 20th win in his second-year coaching year.

Ok, this is what we have been asking for...now time to see how we handle success. I think this team is mature enough to be ranked and still grind. Time will tell.

To hear the players, it is not about the ranking. They are just playing for respect and a rank don't matter. I just feel they will play even better now that being ranked is behind them. Look at how they played after beating UK and UT. Some would think those wins would have went to their heads. Instead, they played the same way and followed Coach Paris the same as they did. I really think they will step it up tomorrow.

BTW. I am going tomorrow. I know 3:45am will get here really quick on Wed. but I got great seats and should be in bed before 9:45.
Who else will be there?

Still a little sick, so skipping this one.

Not many tickets left. Maybe 1000. I suspect we are going to get a lot more students for this game, too.

We are the hunted now for sure. Beating a #15 team can salvage the season for a team and/or save a coach's job.

We lost 70-63 to Chris Beard's 14th-ranked Texas Tech team as part of the SEC/BIG12 Challenge during the 2017-18 season. Very similar teams, but our shots just wouldn't fall.

We are consistent enough now that all we have to do is stick to our system. Our defense is great and our offense has been consistently good enough to win game for us, too.

Tonight's contest has "trap game" written all over it, but Lamont has done a great job so far.

We are going for a white-out tonight.

I do not own a white Gamecocks shirt. About the only white shirts I own are dress shirts. And I sure don't have any white pants.
I guess I could just wear a white t-shirt under my gamecock hoodie and take the hoodie off when I get to my seat.
I am just going to be in Garnet. I will not be in white.

Another tough gritty win for the Gamecocks 68-65 to improve to 20-3, 8-2. One more SEC win and they will get to the 9-9 conference season I was hoping for at least to help them qualify for the post-season. They are looking to finish much better than that. First 20+ win season since that special 2016-17 season, and we host a pretty bad Vanderbilt squad in CLA this Saturday....

I think we need to hammer Vandy to avoid dropping below #15 on Monday, but that's just me.
