"With his performance versus the Warriors, the former South Carolina Gamecocks star became the third-youngest player in the history of the NBA to score at least 20 points in consecutive games. Only future Hall of Famers LeBron James and Kevin Durant were younger than Jackson when they each accomplished the feat. In any case, Jackson seems to be a promising asset the Grizzlies can continue developing. Memphis is unlikely to make the playoffs, so they could eventually give Jackson the freedom to learn more about the pros by seeing extended minutes on the court."

Looks like he has responded to NBA coaching very well. Respect.

I think he just matured, remember he reclassified and left high school a year early to come here and this is why he is in the conversation with players that didn't go to college. It is my understanding that at 19 years and 29 days the only player younger to score 20 points on consecutive games is LeBron James, Durant was born Sep 29 1998 and debuted Oct 30, 2007 and he scored 18 in his debut...

That is some elite company. While I wished he would have stayed another year (imagine a more mature GG on this year's team...), I hope he continues playing this well and will be a good ambassador for our program.

he has the size and skill. its about developing and learning the team game on this level. whats the right play, whats a good shot, and playing with confidence. he's knocking down shots and showing good effort on defense based on the 6 combined steals/blocks the past two games. dont want to get too far ahead but this may be the perfect season for him to develop with alll the injuries memphis has then potentially next year in an ideal world he becomes the starting small forward.

next game tonight 10pm against the twolves on tnt. twolves no.1 in the west, no.1 defense in the league. they will present a big challenge for him on both ends of the floor

He will end up being a big draw for the Grizzlies' home games just like down here because he's a great player who is also good kid.

GG's consecutive game streak of 20+ points ended last night. Scored 1 point off the bench in 10 minutes of action against Minnesota.

He had that learning experience vs the wolves but hes bounced back and shot the ball well in every other game. Theyre still bringing him along slowly off the bench and theyre not having him initiate offense. Youre seeing him attack the rim when its there and when given space hes been a knockdown 3pt shooter so far. Led the team in +/- and was 2nd on the team in points in 26 minutes in a win over the heat on the road on the 24th.

On Thursday night, Jackson put together his best performance to date, scoring a career-high 27 points on 50 percent shooting from the floor and becoming the youngest player in NBA history to score 27 or more points coming off the bench. The player who previously held that mark was the late great hall of famer and five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant.

Word.

Safe to say GG matured, developed and made himself some serious money!
He will be a force in the NBA in the next few years if his handles continue to develop with his perimeter defense
