Gamecocks Have First Complete Performance Under Muschamp

Sept. 07, 2019 | By 2k15

The South Carolina Gamecocks emerged this Saturday with a record-shattering win against FCS team Charleston Southern.

The 72-10 win marks the second-highest amount of points scored in a game since joining the SEC, and breaks a program record for most offensive production in a game with 775 yards on the day. But while the opponent was vastly inferior, and a large margin of victory was something to be expected coming into the game, the Gamecocks did something today that they hadn't accomplished in four years under Will Muschamp: play a complete performance from start to finish. Hopefully this win helps to give the team confidence moving forward. We had a lot of players get snaps today, so that helps too.....

I hope it just doesn't give them too much confidence.  This will be an entirely different game and doubt we have anywhere near the same success.  Probably about 40% of the yards.

Can’t argue with you there.  The only thing that would cool the seat, if we continue to struggle, is the buyout.

If we are that cheap, honestly we deserve to lose and Tanner needs to take the heat for getting us into a buyout we couldn't afford
