Baseball America Ranks Gamecocks' Recruiting Class

Sept. 12, 2048

DURHAM, N.C. – South Carolina baseball’s recruiting class has been ranked No. 21 in the nation by Baseball America, the publication announced this afternoon (Wednesday, Sept. 12).

South Carolina is one of nine schools from the Southeastern Conference in BA’s top-25 list. It also is the ninth straight season the Gamecocks’ recruiting class has been ranked by the publication. The recruiting class features four players (Josiah Sightler, Andrew Eyster, Brady Allen
and Wes Clarke) that were selected in the 2018 MLB First-Year Player Draft.

The first chance to see the Gamecocks’ recruiting class is during the team’s fall scrimmages. The Gamecocks are slated to play this Friday (Sept. 14) at 4 p.m., but fans are encouraged to follow Gamecock Baseball on Twitter (@GamecockBasebll) for schedule updates as Hurricane Florence approaches the Carolinas.
