6-4 Matt Howard of AC Flora had surgery Thursday on his broken right hand. "I didn't have to get a plate," Howard said. Instead, three screws were inserted into the bone. "They said my bones were extra strong when they went in." Howard broke his hand last week at an AAU tournament in Richmond.
USC and Clemson target 6-9 Demetrius Henry of Bradenton, FL said Thursday he definitely will wait until the spring to sign. Some of his other offers are Florida State, Miami, Virginia Tech, Memphis, Southern Cal and Kansas State.
