With the Viewpoint forum shuttered, we expect this forum will get more use and have more topical discussions, which is great. Remember to present your thoughts and ideas with respect for your fellow Gamecocks, however; whereas that forum was a no-holds-barred, no rules affair, all posts in this forum fall under the good-conduct rules for the rest of the site. Be respectful. State your case. No name calling, no politics or religion. If that occurs, that post will be deleted and a warning issued, with further violations incurring suspensions or banning. We don't want conflict and argument to be the norm on this site, but encourage discussion and differing views expressed under the umbrella of "we will have to agree to disagree."
Also, we have done a major re-org of the forum structure: deleted the Smack Talk and Fan Polls; merged baseball recruiting into a nested subforum of the baseball forum; merged basketball recruiting into a nested subforum of the basketball forum, merged football recruiting into a nested subforum of the football forum; merged high school sports into the Locker Room, merged the Gamecock multimedia and Gamecocks and SEC media forums; and merged the Technical chat, test help and Photoshop forums. We also moved the Community Center forum from the top of the forums list to the bottom. Our posts and content were spread out over many, many forums, and this is an effort to make the site easier to use and consolidate where folks are posting new content.
Lastly, be a good citizen! If somebody has started a thread that interests you, give it a thumbs up! I somebody has a post that you think is insightful, give 'em a +1. Reward effort by at least giving them the notification that you appreciate that effort - and it will returned to you. The points don't mean anything beyond a symbolic "thank you," so hand 'em out like they were candy!
