The gamecocks miss again. The Gamecocks missed a key target on Monday. SAF Malcolm Ziglar of Fuquay-Varina, NC announced a commitment to North Carolina over the Gamecocks and Notre Dame. Those were his three official visits in June. The Gamecocks have one safety committed in Kelvin Hunter of West Florence, though LB David Bucey could be used as a safety. They have offers out to uncommitted safeties Kam Mikell, Jalewis Solomon, and Kaleb Harris.
DT D’Antre Robinson of Orlando, who has the Gamecocks among his final choices, is set to announce Friday. He made an unofficial visit to the Gamecocks in May. His official visits were to Florida, Alabama, and Texas. He has fall officials scheduled with Ohio State and LSU.
