I've been big on him for a while, but his skillset is unique, and the kid is a bruiser. If the article proves true, and he's increased his strength significantly and he's moving his feet even better... man the ceiling is pretty high for what he can do for us. "Trae was running around on the side today. Anything that was non competitive he was a part of in practice," On Keyshawn. "Keyshawn was able to practice anything competitive on the half court. They didn't want him running up and down, just on the half court. Keyshawn looked normal and didn't look like he was bothered at any time. Williams was an assistant at A&M under Billy Gillispie from 2004-06. The Aggies are 8-7 on the year, and 2-2 in league games. They have posted SEC wins over Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. In home games A&M is 7-2. The Aggies most recently suffered an 89-85 overtime loss at LSU on Tuesday. Five were in double figures in that contest, led by 20 points from senior forward Josh Nebo. TIPOFF NOTABLES South Carolina collected its first win of the 2020 SEC campaign on Wednesday night in heroics, as R-freshman guard Jermaine Couisnard sank a long 3-point buzzer-beater to give the Gamecocks an 81-78 upset win over No. 10/12 Kentucky at Colonial Life Arena. The win was Carolina's second this season over a top-10 opponent. Couisnard led four Gamecocks in double figures with a season high 26 in the win over UK. TJ Moss added 10, his first double-figure outing of the season, Justin Minaya scored 11 and sophomore forward Keyshawn Bryant had a season high 15 points. South Carolina suffered a 56-55 loss at Tennessee last Saturday in its first SEC road contest of the season.   14. Jermaine Couisnard status for Tuesday night up in the air Jan. 06, 2019 The status of one of the Gamecocks' leading scorers for the start of SEC play is currently up in the air. Frank Martin said redshirt sophomore Jermaine Couisnard is dealing with a strained back and it's still unclear if he'll play Tuesday against Florida. Martin said Couisnard strained his back New Year's Day and hasn't practiced since but will try to practice Monday afternoon to see if he'll be ready to play against the Gators. Martin met with head trainer Mark Rodger Monday morning where he was told Couisnard will try and practice later this afternoon. After redshirting last season, Couisnard has chiseled out a role of the bench and leads all bench players in points per game (8.5) and is shooting 37.7 percent from the field.Couisnard is also leading the team with 2.6 assists per game. If he's out, it'll likely mean more minutes off the bench for guys like Trae Hannibal and TJ Moss.

How South Carolina broke Virginia's defense Dec. 23, 2019 Just glancing at the stats before Sunday’s game, it looked like the Gamecocks didn’t have much of a shot to score 50 points against Virginia, let alone 70. Virginia was considered the ninth-best team in the country and the nation’s best defensive team, allowing just 44.2 points per game with the top effective field goal percentage against. WITH VIDEOS COACH & SELECTED PLAYERS: Martin preparing Gamecocks for a shot at defending champs Dec. 19, 2019 Carolina plays at Virginia Sunday afternoon in the back end of a home and home series with the Cavaliers. Last season, on the way to the national championship, the Cavaliers made two visits to Columbia. The first was a year ago today and the Cavs left with a 69-52 victory. They returned In March for the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament and knocked out Gardner-Webb and Oklahoma. This season, Virginia is 9-1. The Cavaliers do it with defense. They led the nation in scoring defense last season and are #1 again this season giving up just 44 points per game. That offsets the fact they are next to last nationally in scoring at 54 points per game. The Gamecocks are coming off one of their best performances of the season, a win at Clemson last Sunday. Frank Martin made some adjustments with player positioning going into that game, including AJ Lawson taking over the point. Men's Basketball 12/12/2019 VIDEO: Men's Basketball Media Availability With Frank Martin and sophomore AJ Lawson Head Coach Frank Martin and sophomore AJ Lawson met with the media Thursday morning The USC-Clemson rivalry moves back to the hardwood Sunday afternoon at Littlejohn Coliseum. Neither the Gamecocks nor Tigers have lit up the basketball world in the first month of the season. The Gamecocks are 6-4, the Tigers 5-4. USC has won two of its last three but is coming off an ugly home loss to Houston. The Tigers have dropped their last three including losses of 18 and 19 points in their last two games. Thursday Gamecock coach Frank Martin discussed his team and the game with the media in Columbia. Friday Clemson coach Brad Brownell will do likewise with his media.
