According to sports-reference.com, this is the first time we've been ranked in-season since week 15 of the 2016-17 season.

That was right before we lost to Bama 90-86 in 4OT and lost the next 5 out of 8 games.

I don't really see something like that happening with this year's squad, mainly because we are so talented and well-coached.

Ugh...I was at the game, I remember it well. We had so many chances to win but it wasn't to be. I specifically remember one OT (not sure which one it was) that we were down 1 and Sindarious was fouled with like two seconds left. He hit the first one to tie it and missed the second one sending it to the next overtime. So frustrating.
 
And I believe Kotsar hurt his back in that game or the next one after. Not having him available didn't help our cause.

I want to say that's how the skid started.
