Just keeping them on the field takes care of the points part. That is really the biggest thing I miss about Connor Shaw. He would keep plays alive and continue gaining first downs. We'd chew through a bunch of clock and eventually score. Then our defense would come out, rested, and get the ball right back for them to rinse and repeat.

Jake Bentley will be among 25 Gamecocks set to walk for South Carolina’s senior day Nov. 05, 2019 QB Jake Bentley will face a choice at the end of the season: Go elsewhere as a graduate transfer, return to compete with Ryan Hilinski or takes his chances in the NFL. But before that, Bentley is getting his Carolina degree and he will be walking on senior day Saturday before the game against Appalachian State. The Gamecocks confirmed that Tuesday. Bentley has not played since the season opener when he suffered a foot injury on the final play. Bentley is fourth on the school’s all-time passing yardage list and third in all-time touchdowns. Walking on senior day is sometimes a sign a player with eligibility left is moving on, but that’s not always the case. Also Saturday’s senior day list are two redshirt juniors — tight end Kyle Markway and offensive lineman Sadarius Hutcherson. THE REST The 25 players expected to take part in Senior Day festivities include Michael Almond, Jake Bentley, T.J. Brunson, Joseph Charlton, Chavis Dawkins, Mon Denson, Rico Dowdle, Bryan Edwards, Daniel Fennell, Tavien Feaster, Jaylan Foster, Bailey Hart, Sadarius Hutcherson, J.T. Ibe, Javon Kinlaw, Caleb Kinlaw, Kyle Markway, Matt Oliveira, Kiel Pollard, Kobe Smith, Donell Stanley, Will Tommie, A.J. Turner, Eldridge Thompson and D.J. Wonnum.

The Exorcist... Holy crap! Forgot about that one! Saw it on TV as a young feller. Even the edited version scared the begeezus out of me! Slept with the lights on for 3 days afterwards...

3 favorites from the perspective of how much they scared the $%^& out of me - "Creature From the Black Lagoon" (was ~7 when I saw it), "The Omen" (was 15), "The Exorcist" (was ~13). No Stephen King movies would make my list, nor other moves I've already read the books that they're made from - just because I know the story and it turns into a comparison of book-movie...

Good on you. It’s also such a simple thing to flick the turn signal... don’t know why everyone doesn’t do it bc it’s kind of an important thing to signal intent while piloting a 1,500+ lb vehicle.

Low will be near 30 in Columbia next Saturday night vs App. St. Last night was cold too. Why do we play in late August and Sept in the heat of the day then turn around and play all are night games in the coldest part of fall? Go figure.

Someone sent me this stat but I am passing it along... If true, wow! Ryan Hilinski has 167 consecutive attempts without an INT, the longest active streak across the FBS. Connor Shaw owns the program record (177). Great win by the Gamecocks!

Guy's Ryan really hurting here and really has had a effect on his play. Like elbow tendinitis very painful and throwing man the pain just to let it go so that should be the reason in the long ball. Knee issues also in play here. He is doing all he can. He is on the heal and might show what he can do Saturday. So just do not judge to much right now. If he was healthy with the issues here then I would be worried. Hope the article adds to the topic here for discussion. QB Ryan Hilinski isn’t 100%. How close he is remains unclear, as he’s come through first elbow tendinitis and then a couple knee issues, including a sprain, suffered against Georgia. (VIEW ARTICLE)
