Hall had a strikeout in five of his seven innings pitched and had a great play in the fifth, shoveling a comebacker to catcher Colin Burgess to get Caden Rose at the plate, keeping the Crimson Tide scoreless on the day. Hall has a 3.09 ERA and a .231 opponent's batting average in SEC play.

GAMECOCKS SWEEP TIDE
Carolina swept Alabama in a three-game SEC series April 28-30, defeating the Tide in a pair of one-run games (6-5 and 2-1) on Thursday and Friday and winning 11-5 on Saturday. It was the first SEC sweep for the Gamecocks since May 14-16, 2021, at Kentucky and the first SEC sweep at Founders Park since March 26-28, 2021, vs. Florida. The Gamecocks swept Alabama for the first time since May 19-21, 2016. Carolina had the only sweep in the league on the weekend and improved to 18-9 at Founders Park this season.
