Carrera is out with a hip injury and his timetable for return is not determined. Martin likened the injury to a hamstring in the fact that it’s hard to project how long it will take someone to recover as it varies from player to player.

There is a firmer timetable for Page. The Gamecocks have some time off before the next game on January 5 and there will hopefully be a resolution to Page’s academic issue prior to the nonconference finale against South Carolina State.
